Living Compassionately: Dr. Amany Sabbagh advocates for personal growth and building genuine connections

Dr. Amany Sabbagh is a renowned aesthetic physician based between the United States and Lebanon, with a unique story. Her father, a medical representative for a pharmaceutical company, was a compassionate man who devoted his life to the upbringing of his six children and the health care of others, often getting health care provided for those in need. His positive impact on Dr. Sabbagh’s life inspired her, despite many financial and circumstantial challenges placed before her, to pursue a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) from the Beirut Arab University. After earning her degree, she spent several months taking elective courses in the Dermatology departments of top institutions including the American University of Beirut Medical Center, Balamand University, and the Concord University Hospital in Sydney Australia, followed by a fellowship in Aesthetic and Anti-Aging Medicine with the American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine (A4M). Over nine years ago, she started training with Dr. Nada Soueidan, a leading pioneer in the field of cosmetic dermatology, and now works in her clinic, NuYu MediSpa, as attending aesthetic physician and active partner. At NuYu, one of the top clinics in Beirut, Dr. Sabbagh treats clients with a wide variety of cosmetic and health concerns.

Dr. Sabbagh is a preacher of natural beauty and always strives to guide her patients through their treatment plans, to become their best possible selves. She only advises procedures that are best suited for each client. She has developed a reputation of honesty and credibility with all her clients, including well-known celebrities and social elites. The loyalty of her clients stems not only from her skills and expertise, but also from her dedication to creating personalized care plans for all her clients. She recognizes the value in feeling comfortable in one’s own skin and wants all her patients to leave the clinic feeling their absolute best. Her approach to people is based on genuine connection, and she always stays true to the lessons imparted by her father-to live with compassion and generosity.

One of Dr. Sabbagh’s most important beliefs is that “beauty comes from within”. Both in the clinic and outside, she works hard to promote this idea. Education and raising awareness on this topic are high on her list of priorities. She understands that self-confidence is a correlation between how we feel on the inside and the outside. Through personal consultations, Dr. Sabbagh ensures that her clients not only understand the procedure they are undertaking, but also feel that they are getting treatment that is specifically tailored to helping them feel beautiful from within. One of the most important ways Dr. Sabbagh shares her knowledge is over social media platforms. Tapping into the accessibility and wide-spread attention she can garner on Instagram and Facebook, she spreads messages related to wellness, evidence-based health tips, and community support. She is avid about recognizing holidays and special events, from Ramadan to International Women’s Day. Her authenticity has created a successful brand that is well-represented online and offline.

When it comes to wellness, Dr. Sabbagh is an advocate of personal growth and taking time for hobbies. She is an enthusiastic reader and loves to spend time with her family. She is also a self-proclaimed foodie and enjoys learning new languages. She conducts research outside of work as another way to stay on top of the latest information and trends concerning aesthetic medicine and beauty tips, so her clients and followers have the most up-to-date, science-based advice. Dr. Sabbagh has also done extensive volunteer work with numerous NGOs, including foodblessed, an organization that advocates for feeding those in need and works to eliminate food waste. This work helps her to expand her interpersonal connections and give back to society. All of these activities contribute to overall wellness, and Dr. Sabbagh not only advocates for them, but also practices them herself every day, living the idiom “practice what you preach”. When it comes to wellness information, living confidently, and feeling empowered, Dr. Sabbagh provides all this and more, to her clients in person, and her trusted followers online.
