He also completed a neurosurgery residency at LA County/USC Keck School of Medicine and his Neuro-endovascular Fellowship at the University at Buffalo, and has since become Double Board-Certified in both disciplines.
The journey of Dr. Yashar’s success reveals several inspiring events for the readers. Here’s what we can learn from the remarkable journey of efforts and success of the great neurosurgeon, Dr. Yashar.
1. Perseverance is the key
To Dr. Yashar, Perseverance and determination is the key to achieve every goal. He has always been consistent and aligned his efforts and routines with his goals and objectives. He believes that you can never lead the path towards your success without consistency and clarity about your dream. Dr. Yashar himself took the less-traveled paths and gave his best to fulfill his dream of pursuing medicine. Neurosurgery is a field that includes extremely critical procedures. Hence, Dr. Yashar continues to study more about his area and from his experiences in order to keep up to speed on the newest techniques, technologies, and treatments.
2. Learn from your experiences
According to Dr. Yashar, a learning mindset is the key to success. It is a fundamental trait defined by a person’s approach towards learning new things and collecting the outcomes of his experiences to deduce a lesson from them. Our life is made up of thousands of occasions, so make the most of your life’s events by making them work for you.
Dr. Yashar believes in the ideology that we didn’t arrive on the planet yesterday. We didn’t just sit down in that beautiful suit in our workplace chair. We got to where we are now by performing a little thing called ‘learning from the experiences.’ He never stopped his learning process and took every experience as a new kick-start for new learning.
3. Grow from your failure
We wouldn’t be facing the success we have if we hadn’t had all of the experiences that led us to this point. Dr. Yashar shares that every neurosurgeon has experienced both achievements and failures like every other human being. Every surgeon has had to deal with adversity. The aim is to gain more knowledge from your oversights than from your victories. The only way to improve your knowledge, skill, understanding of the field, and dimensions of your job is to learn from your mistakes and build on your successes.
